Join our WhatsApp channelISLAMABAD—The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) has greeted the journalist panel led by Shakeel Anjum for winning the National Press Club elections after receiving votes from an unprecedented majority.
While expressing satisfaction, PFUJ President Shahzada Zulfiqar and Secretary-General Nasir Zaidi said that the newly elected body would strive for the resolution of issues confronted by the journalist community and make NPC a hub for positive activities.
“Huge participation of the media community in the election process of NPC is a good omen and symbolizes that the community is committed to strengthening the democratic process and norms at all levels,” they said.
PFUJ hailed the spirit of all other contesting groups in the elections and said that they would, with the help of the elected body, work towards resolution of issues confronted by the media.
